This is to be the 32nd Polish Real Estate Market Conference organised by Eurobuild Conferences, and the fact that we have been doing this for so long is reflected in the topics that will be discussed, centred on the professionalism of the Polish and CEE real market and how players need to position themselves in an increasingly complicated and uncertain world.
Certain sectors have reached a level of maturity that would have been difficult to imagine 32 years ago. Others are going through dynamic changes; while new segments, such as data centres, are showing significant promise and could point the way to the future. And even in times of macro-economic and geopolitical uncertainty, fresh opportunities are opening up, due to the sharp increase in defence spending and the future need to reconstruct Ukraine. It has never been more important for the real estate market to understand the complex challenges that lie ahead of us if it is to take full advantage of these opportunities.

DEFENCE – A boon for the market or a drain on the economy?
The Polish defence budget has doubled since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, making it the fourth largest spender in the EU in terms of GDP. What opportunities has this opened up for the real estate market? Will the defence boom be good for the economy and the real estate market in the long run? |

LIVING – The affordability equation
Will lower mortgage costs boost the home ownership market, or raise prices faster than supply? What will be the impact on PRS? Have PRS and the senior living and PBSA markets finally taken off in a big way in our part of the world as an investment product – or do certain conditions still need to be in place to allow this to happen? |
